Copyright Policy

Gyeongo (operated by Wonjo Construction) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains how to report alleged copyright infringement and how we process such notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and the Republic of Korea Copyright Act §103.

1. Our Commitment

We do not tolerate copyright infringement on Gyeongo. We will promptly remove content identified as infringing after receiving a valid notice that complies with the requirements set out below, and we will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

2. DMCA Notice & Takedown (17 U.S.C. §512)

If you believe that material hosted on Gyeongo (including public portfolio pages, shared estimates, or user-uploaded photographs) infringes your copyright, please send a written notice that includes all of the following elements required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3):

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works are covered by a single notice, a representative list);
  • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (e.g., the exact URL of the Gyeongo page);
  • Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email;
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Incomplete notices cannot be processed. Please note that under 17 U.S.C. §512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.

4. Counter-Notice (17 U.S.C. §512(g))

If your material was removed as a result of a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to our Designated Agent. A valid counter-notice must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature;
  • Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal;
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • Your name, address, and telephone number; and
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, the U.S. Federal District Court for the district in which Wonjo Construction may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or an agent of that person.

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and may restore the removed material in 10–14 business days unless the complainant files an action seeking a court order against you.

5. Korean Copyright Act §103 — Takedown Procedure

For users and rightsholders in the Republic of Korea, the same copyright-complaint email address (copyright@gyeongo.com) accepts takedown requests under Article 103 of the Korean Copyright Act ("Request for Suspension of Reproduction or Transmission").

Your request should include (a) the copyrighted work, (b) the URL of the allegedly infringing material on Gyeongo, (c) evidence of your ownership, and (d) your contact information. Upon receipt of a valid request, we will suspend access to the reported material without delay and notify the uploader, who may file a counter-claim under Article 103(3).

6. Repeat-Infringer Policy

In accordance with 17 U.S.C. §512(i)(1)(A), we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. A user who receives three or more valid takedown notices within a twelve-month period is subject to account termination at our discretion. Users whose accounts are terminated under this policy will not be permitted to create new accounts.

7. False Claims

We reserve the right to seek damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, from any party that submits a notice or counter-notice in bad faith or with knowing material misrepresentation, as permitted by 17 U.S.C. §512(f).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Copyright Policy from time to time. The DMCA agent contact information is authoritatively maintained in the U.S. Copyright Office directory; if this page and the directory differ, the directory controls.
